The COOKie Doesn’t Crumble!

You could have knocked me over with the proverbial feather when David Cook won American Idol last night. I thought for sure David Archuleta would win…even though I was rooting for David Cook. Thank you to all the Americans who voted for Big David on my behalf. You know, I have no clue if non-Americans can vote in American Idol, but I figure it’s not called North American Idol and there is a Canadian Idol, so I’ve never tried to vote in the American version.

Go, DC, go! I’ll be very interested in seeing what sort of post-American Idol CD he releases. Please, please, Idol record producers, don’t try to “mainstream” the essence that is David Cook the way that occurred with Taylor Hicks and Bo Bice. Please let the man be. Himself.

  1. I was just as shocked, Cindy! I’m SO glad DC won, but had begrudgingly accepted the fact that DA would probably win with all the hype from the judges the night before. I think even DC was shocked! 🙂

  2. LOL, Christina, I think you’re right. By the looks of DC, he was prepping to hear that Little David had won. In contrast, considering Little David is so much younger, he looked very composed.

  3. Thanks to you and Shannon Stacey, I have now watched more American Idol than ever before: about 10 minutes, 37 seconds. Would have been 4 minutes, 11 seconds, but it took a while to find the ZZ Top performance.

I think I’ll be getting me some David Cook tracks for my iPod. 🙂

  4. LOL, I read your blog.

I saw the Six Things ping there. I did it at least twice on Trials & Triumphs before opening this blog and already turned down someone else to do it because of that. So I’m going to be bad and not do it. You’re welcome to send other meme’s my way, but I’ve run out of six things to say about myself!
