Writer in Absentia

I’m a very bad blogger. I should be smacked. I can’t help it, though. I’m way too busy right now to blog. Will be working on My Liege’s massive website update the entire week. Now that I’ve accepted that, I know I can’t expect to get to the revisions on my cindypk ST until next week. But that’s okay. I need to do what I need to do, need to be where I need to be.

How are you dealing with summer writing? Summer blogging?

By the way, my next guest blogger is Elisabeth Naughton, July 28th. I’m looking forward to her picking up the slack.

I’ll drop in as time permits. Otherwise, my July is jam-packed. Please keep checking in, though. I’ll return to my regular blogging schedule (3-4 times a week) as soon as time permits.

I'm irritated because my posts won't publish.

  1. I’m having similar troubles. The writing has gone by the wayside almost completely this summer, as I balance work, freelance work, and my kids. And blogging, too, tends to be once a week (as I’m sure you’ve noticed, as you MUST keep track of such things! Right?).

  2. I’m not doing much writing or blogging right now, but that will change, at least in August. My course will end around Aug 4 and my hours at the library have been cut waaaaaaaaay back (budget cuts in effect), so I’m hoping at least to get some real writing done. Well, after my sister and her kids visit 🙂

Hope the website work goes well 🙂

  3. Hi Natalie,

I’ve been doing great with the writing – until this week. Once I have this website update over and done with, though, I’m hoping the momentum will return. No, I’m PLANNING on it.

As for visiting other blogs, I’ve even been bad at that! The last week or so, I haven’t even been visiting the industry blogs I usually read every day. I thought if I weren’t blogging, I could catch up on my blog reading, but it hasn’t worked out that way. I’ll have to rectify that. I want to catch up with my writing buddies.

  4. Hi Teresa,

Sorry about the cut in hours. I know you love your job. But you also love your writing, so it’s not all bad. 🙂 One of my sons is taking a year off university, and he’s having a horrible time finding a job. Well, it’s only been 2-3 weeks, but usually he has a job in that time frame.
