Weekend Fun: Cats in Sinks

Taken from Teresa Eckford’s blog…

Because who doesn’t love a cat in a sink?

The Evil Entity doesn’t sleep in sinks. She’s addicted to dripping bathtub tap water, but hasn’t figured out how to sleep in a sink! She does, however, wash herself IN the tub. After she’s washed her paws in the dripping tap and stuck her head under the dripping tap and sat her butt in the little pool the dripping tap creates.

What’s your cat’s favorite bathroom activity? (No litter box stories, I beg you.)

I'm irritated because my posts won't publish.

  1. Glad you liked the link 🙂

Cleo’s favourite bathroom activity is shredding the shower curtain liner, sooooo, the girls are now banned from both bathrooms as a result! When we were living in the cabin at Sean’s parent’s place (while our house was being planned/built), she made short work of at least two because we couldn’t lock her out of the one in there.

Chloe, OTOH, LOVES to roll on the bathmat. Yep, she does her signature stop, drop and roll on the bathmat whenever she manages to sneak in! She was declawed by her previous owners (about which the Humane Society knew nothing as she was found wandering outside the HS building in Ottawa), so can’t really cause much havoc.

They both like to play in the tub AND chase each other round it and between the curtain/liner. Total nuts, the pair of them! But very cute 🙂

  2. Cleo and Chloe? My tongue would trip over itself. But I do love the names. I NEARLY named the Evil Entity Cleo or Chloe.

The Evil Entity used to attack the shower curtain, too. However, now that she’s obsessed with the tap, she leaves the shower curtain alone.

I admit I would like to have two cats, but only if I got them both at the same time. Then they could play with each other. She’s always trying to wake me up to play with her. But because of allergies, we can only have one cat in the house.

  3. One of my cats stays out of the bathroom unless I’m using the facilities and she hasn’t seen me in a while, then she comes in to lick my legs.

The cat we got first likes to jump on the sink to drink from my water glass. I think the most recent cat has emulated this behavior. It didn’t used to be a problem, but after three shattered glasses in a week, I stopped leaving my glass in there.

Cats one and three also like to swat Number One’s contacts case to the floor to chase it. Not my case, for some reason. I guess hers skitters better. 🙂

  4. LOL, Natalie, the leg-licking sounds…um…odd.

Isn’t it funny when cats stick their heads in water glasses? (I’m sure non-cat people are thinking, ewwwwww, gross!!!).
