So why even bother with a query?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why we\u2019re announcing the first annual FIREBRAND QUERY HOLIDAY\u2014to support authors who want to spend their time and energy perfecting their manuscripts and not just polishing their sales skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We want to read your first chapter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our usual, query-based submission system will be closed for a short period starting on the 15th of December (don\u2019t worry, any query that was already in our system will be answered even while the system is \u201cdown\u201d). And then\u2014beginning on December 15 and ending on January 15\u2014we will be accepting sample chapters via a unique email address:<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script> <a href=\"mailto:queryholiday@gmail.com\"><span style=\"color: #8b0200;\">queryholiday@gmail.com<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"display: none;\">This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
