{"id":6472,"date":"2012-08-31T16:48:39","date_gmt":"2012-08-31T23:48:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/?p=6472"},"modified":"2012-08-31T16:48:39","modified_gmt":"2012-08-31T23:48:39","slug":"sindie-publishing-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/sindie-publishing-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"Sindie Publishing Schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I need to update my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cindyprocter-king.com\/books.html\">Books<\/a> page again.<\/p>\n<p>After re-issuing the updated and revised <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cindyprocter-king.com\/HTML%20Pages%20Books\/head_over_heels.html\">HEAD OVER HEELS<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Head-Over-Heels-ebook\/dp\/B008Z4HZ7Y\/ref=la_B0046CE3TM_1_4?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1345340438&amp;sr=1-4\" target=\"_blank\">Kindle<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/book\/head-over-heels\/id556333501?mt=11\" target=\"_blank\">iTunes<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kobobooks.com\/ebook\/Head-Over-Heels\/book-JQiRCkL6dkOY4XIK9CvA4g\/page1.html?s=i-OOTJkYkkip80IIunPv7w&amp;r=8\" target=\"_blank\">Kobo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allromanceebooks.com\/product-headoverheels-924127-150.html\" target=\"_blank\">ARe<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smashwords.com\/books\/view\/215937\" target=\"_blank\">Smashwords<\/a> (which will <em>eventually<\/em> distribute the book to Nook), I had intended to update and revise <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cindyprocter-king.com\/HTML%20Pages%20Books\/borrowing_alex.html\">BORROWING ALEX<\/a> for self-publishing. That&#8217;s still on the go, with a bit of\u00a0a wait. I have two short stories in my five-part romantic comedy series, <strong>LOVE AND OTHER CALAMITIES<\/strong>, nearly ready to put up. The first story, <strong>Deceiving Derek<\/strong> (which was once available from an e-publisher who sold about 8 copies and didn&#8217;t pay me the royalties), is in the editing stage, while the second original story, <strong>Catching Claire<\/strong>, is in revisions. I&#8217;ve decided to publish them both before tackling the second edition of <strong>BORROWING ALEX<\/strong>. This way I&#8217;ll have three Sindie releases available for sale while I work on the <strong>BORROWING ALEX<\/strong> re-issue. One of my subsidiary rights publishers is waiting to look at <strong>Deceiving Derek<\/strong> and <strong>Catching Claire<\/strong>, so it makes sense to work on the shorts first. In the meantime, <strong>BORROWING ALEX<\/strong> remains for sale as an audiobook at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.audiolark.com\/books\/borrowing-alex\/\" target=\"_blank\">AudioLark<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.audible.com\/pd\/ref=sr_1_2?asin=B0078PA6YK&amp;qid=1329337300&amp;sr=1-2\" target=\"_blank\">Audible<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/artist\/cindy-procter-king\/id453366934?ign-mpt=uo%3D4\" target=\"_blank\">iTunes<\/a>. So it&#8217;s not completely out of the loop.<\/p>\n<p>Today I&#8217;m working on revisions for <strong>Catching Claire<\/strong>. Working on this story reminds me of how much I love writing romantic comedy. It might not be the flavor of the month (or the year), but romcom and contemporary romance are what I love to write. I might include a mystery or bit of a suspense plot (like in the single title romantic comedy\/mystery I&#8217;m currently marketing), but the heart of my books is in &#8220;straight&#8221; romance. By that, I don&#8217;t mean &#8220;not gay romance.&#8221; I mean you&#8217;re not likely to catch me writing dark paranormal suspense or a thriller, or, heaven forbid, a horror novel. My imagination wouldn&#8217;t survive the latter!<\/p>\n<p>Contemporary has my heart.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s your favorite romance genre?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I need to update my Books page again.
