{"id":8559,"date":"2016-03-22T07:00:14","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T14:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/?p=8559"},"modified":"2016-03-20T11:44:53","modified_gmt":"2016-03-20T18:44:53","slug":"listifylife-spring-challenge-spring-for-me-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/listifylife-spring-challenge-spring-for-me-is\/","title":{"rendered":"#ListifyLife Spring Challenge &#8211; Spring for Me Is&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Week 1 of the #Listifylife Spring Challenge presents that most perplexing of issues&#8230;. <strong>What is Spring for You?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Listifyspring1-e1458498583896.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8560\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8560\" src=\"https:\/\/cindyprocter-king.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Listifyspring1-e1458498583896.jpg\" alt=\"Listifyspring1\" width=\"400\" height=\"373\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To me, Spring is&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Birthday Season!<\/strong> Between March 31st and June 3rd we celebrate at least eight family birthdays I can think of, between parents, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son, niece and my DH.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Planting Flowers I&#8217;ll Forget to Water<\/strong>\u00a0Last summer we did masses of outdoor renovations, completely tearing up our &#8220;Fred Flintstone&#8221; driveway (complete with decades of frost heaves), taking away loads of natural clay, replacing with clean fill, paving with asphalt, and replacing our old\u00a0carport with a beautiful new one that goes much better with our house. Along the way, we lost the two gardens outside my kitchen door. We have a nice new pathway I&#8217;ll line with flower pots this spring. Let&#8217;s see if I&#8217;m any better at remembering to water pots than I am at gardens&#8230;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Counting Down to Seeing my Eldest Son Again in July!\u00a0<\/strong>I only get to see E.S. in the summers, because he teaches at a B.C.-curriculum high school in Shanghai. I try to forget the countdown from September until March, because otherwise it gets too depressing.
