Family Birthdays

I won’t name names (I’m guessing I’ll get in trouble posting this picture as it is…if they find out), but let’s just say I’m related to the two people below. Let’s just say I’m older than both of them, so tormenting them is my right. Let’s add on that they are both cuter than spit in this picture! Let’s not quibble that spit ain’t that cute.

Let’s say I’m taking the shorter one to lunch today, because it’s her birthday. Happy birthday, LP!

Let’s say I’m attending a big family party tomorrow, because that’s the taller one’s birthday. Happy birthday, TB!

Every year we have a big family party on the double birthday. LP has never celebrated a birthday without her older brother, I don’t think.

  1. What a great picture! And the pineapple upside-down cake looks yummy. I made one a few weeks ago for Father’s Day.

    Have fun celebrating!

  2. I’ve never made one, Edie. Very bad of me, I know. I think I made a bundt cake once. Or maybe I dreamt it…

  3. Sweet, sweet picture!!

My daughter was born on my birthday…and she has had to share her entire life. LOL. Poor thing… 🙂

    Have a super weekend!

  4. Born ON your birthday? Nice gift – labour!

My niece had her last baby the day after her birthday…or maybe it’s the day before her birthday, I can’t remember.

My LP and I had a wonderful lunch.

  5. My girls are two years and three days apart. Youngest was due on her sisters birthday, but manage to hang on a bit longer.

I have always celebrated their birthdays separately. Years of hearing my younger sister gripe because her birthday fell near Christmas so she had to “share” must have inundated my psyche. So I did separate (wouldn’t want to have my girls sounding like my sis!) Not for major family dos, but they had their own “friends” parties. Hassle? You bet. Worth it? Yeah. They still laugh about it and argue whose parties were best.

  6. Hi Pat,

I can’t remember if they had separate bday parties as kids. I know they had both their friends.

I’m born 3 weeks after Xmas. Those of us born close to Christmas gripe a lot! I can’t remember my little sister ever griping about sharing bdays with her older brother. Of course, he has her brainwashed into thinking he’s amazing, LOL.
