A Galapagos Journey, Day 10 – Sante Fe and South Plaza Islands

Okay, so the Tuesdays aren’t as bright and shiny anymore. It’s November! But join me as I transport you to a beautiful, warm paradise, the Galapagos Islands off mainland Ecuador, as we near the end of my two-week journey aboard the Cormorant Catamaran in 2012 with Naturalist Guide Harry Jimenez.

Day 10 featured Sante Fe and South Plaza Islands, which features vegetation and landscape that we hadn’t seen before. The Galapagos are very unique!

Next week, we encounter Kicker Rock for the first time!

A Galapagos Journey, Day 9 – Up to My Neck in Lava on Sullivan Island

Ah, Tuesday, bright and shiny, just perfect for reminiscing about my two-week cruise aboard the Cormorant Catamaran in 2012 with Naturalist Guide Harry Jimenez, owner of the Galapagos Eco-Lodge on San Cristobal Island.

Day 9 featured a wonderful excursion to Sullivan Island, where I found myself up to my neck in lava and where my husband practiced snow angels on a human barbecue.

Next week, Sante Fe and South Plaza Islands.

A Galapagos Journey Day 8 Guest Blogging at Galapagos Eco-Lodge Blog

On Day 8 of my Galapagos journey, we said goodbye to several guests and another 8 joined us. We were officially on Week 2 of the cruise, with stops at North Seymour Island (Blue-Footed Boobies galore!) and Bachus Beach, where I saw a beautiful Blue Heron.

Next week, I find myself up to my neck in lava!

A Galapagos Journey, Day 7, Guest Blogging at Galapagos Eco-Lodge Blog

Another Tuesday, another kick-off to the Galapagos Eco-Lodge Blog, where I’m guest-blogging about my fabulous trip in 2012 aboard the Cormorant Catamaran with Naturalist Guide Harry Jimenez, owner manager of Galapagos Eco-Lodge on San Cristobal Island.

This week I’ll take you to Genovesa Island, my favorite island of all those we visited during Week 1. If you love birdlife, you’ll adore Genovesa Island. Read all about it and see pictures at my guest post.

Next week, more Blue-Footed Boobies than you shake a stick at!

I’m Going Into Cindication!

No, I’m not becoming a member of a cindicate. As in, the mob. Beginning tomorrow, and for the next four months, my Galapagos Islands travel blog posts will be appearing at the Galapagos Eco-Lodge blog! I am going into cindication as a guest blogger!

I can only claim the cindication because the posts were published here first. They are now getting reprinted, I suppose you could say, but I prefer to say they’re now cindicated. Wouldn’t you, if you had the chance?

Every Tuesday, a new post about my Galapagos journey will be posted to the Eco-Lodge blog, and I will add a corresponding post here, at my own blog, to point you to the specific post over there.

In the meantime, why not pop over to the Galapagos Eco-Lodge blog now and have a gander at the vast array of information naturalist guide Harry Jimenez has put together? Harry was my guide for two weeks on-board the Cormorant Catamaran, and, along with his wife, he also runs the Galapagos Eco-Lodge boutique hotel. A busy guy, that Harry.

Spam Reviews and Excerpts

Any other writers out there notice a new type of spam comment showing up in your blog dashboards? Lately, I’ve been getting spam comments that look like excerpts from books I’ve never read. I get spam comments that are Amazon reviews of my own books, (some of those I have read before, and so I recognize them as the same spam review tends to repeat over and over). I also get spam comments of the synopses of books I have featured in my Tuesday Deals column. So far just one book, but I find it very weird.

I guess it’s an attempt at creativity, but luckily WordPress recognizes the comments as spam and so far I haven’t had to wipe any off my blog itself.

At least no one’s trying to sell me Louis Vitton anymore through my spam filter. Although, maybe they will now that I’ve posted this. 😉
