Kassia Kroszer of Booksquare + a handful of her compadres are opening Quartet Press in the fall. Visit their website to find out more, and here’s a great interview with Kassia on Ciar Cullen’s blog.

She interrupts me. I interrupt her. Elle A. Muse is unfortunately not amused…

Sounds awesome, Cindy. I’ll check it out. Thanks!
You’re welcome, Kelly. With Kassia at the helm, I’m sure Quartet will do great.
Does indeed look interesting, however the one question I want answered doesn’t seem to be addressed either at the site or in the interview – will they offer advances? I know you don’t know, I just thought it was curious they don’t make any mention of it (unless I missed it – entirely possible).
That’s a good question, Teresa. I assumed, seeing as they’re using the epublishing model, that they wouldn’t be offering advances (and therefore that’s why it’s not mentioned), but I do not know if that’s the case. eRedSage offers small advances, and I believe Samhain does as well. No idea about Quartet Press.
I think I recall reading on the QP blog or website that they might upload a sample contract in the near future. Looking at that might answer your question.
