I am writing/revising the last scene of my WIP. Yippee-yahoo! That’s all that needs to be said. There were times I never thought I’d get here. But I’m here. I’m really here! And I like me. I really like me! Er, um, it. I really like it. The book, that is. Until I’m done writing and revising the scene, it’s “not my baby” (as Allie McBeagle would say). So the jury’s still out on whether I actually like the scene or not. Rest assured, I will love it when it’s done.
Phew. What’s going on in your world?
LOL- congrats! (I feel that way after reading a galley… “I like me. I really like me! Er, um, it” ) *smiles*
Thanks for stopping by my daily blathering blog. Marin is great, isn’t she? Cheers!
Congratulations!!!! I love writing that last scene.
I finished my synopsis last night. I’ll read it over today. My CP says she’s halfway through my ms., so I should have her critique soon. In the meantime, I have my shiny new idea to play with. 🙂
Hi Nancy and Edie,
Thanks for cheering me on. I find last scenes challenging. In a way, they’re a bit of a letdown to write, because I’m no longer building toward anything, just tying up loose ends. The challenge is to really infuse it with emotion when I have so much else going on (wrapping up the mystery and suspense elements, etc.)
Edie, I think you’re a much faster writer than I am. I’m so slow. Have fun with your shiny new idea!
